We are at it again.  We’re performing another concert.  Allow me to introduce you to our spring concert:

Beauty Awake: A Spring Stirring of Music by Nathan and Naomi Bird

Cross of Glory Baptist Church, Tuesday May 22nd, 7:00pm

With themes of spring, new life, and rebirth this is an exciting program with fresh new music, and beautiful stories.  In addition to some original works by singer-song writer friends of ours, we are excited to share some Ukrainian music with you by composer Ivan Mychik whom I met on the Northwestern College Choir Tour to Eastern Europe in 2006.  He gave each of us a little yellow book of his music and told us to feel free to perform it.  As I am headed back to Ukraine this July, with St. Paul-based group, Evangelion, I took a closer look at Mychik’s music.  I was impressed and moved…

  1. Just a question that I asked on Facebook…but sometimes I don’t know if I do the proper thing there……is Redeemer the church you attend?

    1. Yes, Betty. Nathan was the choir director there until we moved to Denver and we have been attending there since returning to Minnesota. By the way, we are looking into doing a concert in Stillwater in the end of the summer – a little closer to you!

      1. oh!!! I have been looking at websites and am finding that your is quite interesting and appealing. Do you know who has info about how difficult it is to “keep up” with it. (Our church is smaller and we are going to work with a program someone has used but we are trying to get a format together for it)
